Secure Telehealth Visits
Virtual lactation consultations and support sessions may be provided through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform designed to protect your privacy and confidentiality.
During telehealth visits, please help maintain your privacy by:

Text Messaging
Text messaging may be used for scheduling, brief updates, and convenient communication.
While texting can be helpful and convenient, standard text messages are not guaranteed to be secure or HIPAA-compliant. By choosing to communicate through text messaging, you acknowledge the potential privacy risks and are choosing to use this method at your own discretion.
Please do not send urgent medical concerns, emergencies, or detailed health information through text messages.
For urgent concerns, please contact your healthcare provider or call 911 for emergencies.
Communication Boundaries
Communication methods are intended for client support, scheduling, and follow-up care coordination. Response times may vary depending on availability, and electronic communication should not be used as a substitute for emergency medical care.
If you have a time-sensitive medical concern, please contact your healthcare provider, pediatric provider, or emergency services as appropriate.
Client Stories, Photos, Testimonials, and Social Media
Your privacy and comfort are always respected.
I may occasionally share client stories, photos, testimonials, or experiences to help educate and support other families. However:

Your participation is completely voluntary

Permission will always be requested before sharing your story, photos, testimonials, or personal information

You are not required to provide a testimonial, review, photo, or story in order to receive care

Choosing not to participate will not affect the quality of your care in any way
No identifying information, images, birth stories, feeding journeys, or personal experiences will be shared without your permission.
Records and Documentation
Client records and consultation notes are securely maintained within an electronic health record (EHR) system.
Records will be retained for ten (10) years in accordance with professional record-keeping practices.

Emergency Disclaimer
Lactation and doula services provide education, support, resources, and guidance. These services do not replace emergency medical care, diagnosis, or treatment provided by licensed healthcare professionals.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 immediately.
For non-emergency medical concerns related to you or your baby, please contact your healthcare provider, pediatric provider, or other qualified medical professional.
I encourage all clients to maintain ongoing care with their healthcare providers and seek medical attention whenever needed.
Scope of Support
Doula and lactation support services are intended to provide education, encouragement, advocacy, and individualized support.
I do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe treatments, or replace the care provided by licensed medical professionals. When appropriate, referrals and collaboration with qualified healthcare providers may be recommended.
